America's New Police State: The Leaked Memo You Need to See
A leaked memo from the Department of Homeland Security reveals a terrifying plan to merge military power with immigration enforcement, and it's not just about immigrants.
For decades, we’ve invested trillions of our tax-dollars into building the largest military force on Earth, believing it was meant to protect us from outside threats. Now the barrel is turning inward, and this leaked memo from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) tells us exactly how.
They say it’s about protecting you from the “threat” of immigrants. That’s the story they sell. History shows the bars built for them always close on you. There’s a reason they want an army this big, and it’s not just for the immigrants.
The Leaked Memo
Dated August 2, 2025, the memo describes a closed-door meeting between Trump’s Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, the highest-ranking officer in the U.S. military, the general responsible for defending American soil, senior Pentagon advisers, and the leadership of ICE and Border Patrol. Their focus was not on overseas wars but on how to merge military power with immigration enforcement inside the United States.
It was written by Philip Hegseth, a senior adviser to DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and the go-between for Homeland Security and the Pentagon. Not to be confused with his older brother, Pete Hegseth, the former Fox anchor who now serves as Donald Trump’s Secretary of Defense.

One brother writes the plan. The other commands the troops. That’s not national security. That’s a family business in building a police state.
In its own words, the memo promises “100% success” if the Pentagon and DHS “foster new ideas” on “national security and illegal immigration.”
It explicitly pushes for a verbal agreement to place Pentagon staff directly inside ICE and Border Patrol. You know, the kind you can’t FOIA, subpoena, or easily challenge in court.
It tells America’s highest-ranking military generals they must “feel… the urgency of the homeland defense mission” and even tries to sell the idea that immigration is the same as “Al Qaeda or ISIS cells and fighters operating freely inside America.”
Yes, you read that right. They are comparing migrants to ISIS.
And here’s the thing… this isn’t just a plan on paper. Six weeks before this memo was written, Pete Hegseth’s office quietly ordered 700 active-duty soldiers to detention facilities in Florida, Texas, and Louisiana to “assist” ICE.
The Pentagon called it “support,” but on the ground it meant U.S. troops were already working immigration enforcement missions long before this ever leaked.
Now, I want you to remember that this memo exists in public view only because it leaked. Whether the deal it pushed for ever happened is locked inside a so-called “verbal agreement” known only to those in the room.
Our best shot at the truth is a whistleblower… or Pete Hegseth getting sloppy and dropping a journalist into another top-secret Signal chat.
Use of a “verbal agreement” wouldn’t be the first time this administration has worked overtime to keep us in the dark, leaning on workarounds like encrypted apps. In fact, secrecy is now policy. Early this year, the Trump Administration dismantled FOIA teams at multiple agencies, turning record backlogs into multi-year delays while — once again — twisting the law in a way that benefits their fascism.
Not shockingly, this hit the same week the Trump administration moved more than 100 FEMA personnel to ICE to “assist deportations,” even as Texas flooded and hurricane season began.

L.A.: The Dress Rehearsal
Buried in the lengthy memo is one line that should stop you in your tracks:
“Everyone here is also aware of our joint work in L.A. It hasn’t been perfect, and we’re still working through best practices together, but I think it’s a good indicator of the type of operations (and resistance) we’re going to be working through for years to come.”
That’s not a line about overseas missions. It’s about Los Angeles. America.
“Joint work” refers to the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense running coordinated domestic operations in Los Angeles this year. This is when the National Guard and the Marines were sent to LA to crush dissenters.
In June 2025, those guns were pointed at us. The memo praises how they handled the “resistance” in L.A., treating it as a model for years to come.
Now, a lot has happened since then. So, let me refresh your memory.
In early June of this year, protests erupted in L.A. after a wave of massive immigration raids.. not just at workplaces, but even at a child’s birthday party. The city had enough and stood up against the regime. The result?
The U.S. Government had sent over 700 active-duty Marines from the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines were sent to LA. They joined over 4,000 (illegally) federalized National Guard troops under what was called Task Force 51.
Now, you should know that military you saw in Los Angeles wasn’t there to “protect buildings” no matter what you heard on the news. They were a stage prop in a federal show of force and one arrest in East L.A. shows exactly what that looked like.
It happened on June 12, 2025. In the very early hours of the day, long before the golden California sun ever came up, residents of L.A. woke to flash-bangs, armored trucks, and soldiers in the street. The target was not a cartel boss or a barricaded fugitive. It was Alejandro Orellana, a 29-year-old Marine veteran and community organizer, accused of handing out face shields at a protest.
According to the FBI, state police had him under surveillance half an hour before any alleged offense. The “threat” they saw? People loading cardboard boxes into a pickup truck. They saw no violence, no weapons, or anything but brown people loading up boxes.
Yet CHP, LAPD, the FBI, and the Title 10–federalized National Guard (the same Guard spotted outside his home that night) turned a minor arrest into a pre-dawn military raid.
Oh, and law enforcement didn’t just arrest Alejandro Orellana. They blasted his mugshot and name across official channels and social media almost immediately after the raid framing him as a “riot ringleader” to justify the militarized operation. U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli actually went on national TV using this very arrest photo as a visual prop while claiming it was “step one” in dismantling a supposed network funding the protests.

So, I want you to remember that is the “joint work in L.A.” the memo calls for against the “resistance”.
The military wasn’t protecting buildings. They were part of the set, helping sell the image of a dangerous insurgent taken down by overwhelming force when the reality was a man handing out face shields at a protest. And if this is the standard, the next “threat” could be anyone who resists.
Like a journalist covering a march, a dissenter with a sign, a lawyer defending protestors, or a neighbor handing out water. We’ve already seen them attack the media, cameramen, and journalists who were exposing their crimes during the L.A crackdowns in this article of mine.
Once the state can brand ordinary resistance as danger, no one is off-limits.
Historically, We’ve Seen This Before
If this memo feels like something out of a history book, that’s because it is. In 1933 Germany, Adolf Hitler used the Reichstag Fire — a mysterious blaze at the parliament building — as an excuse to declare a national emergency. Overnight, civil liberties were suspended.
His government merged regular police with Nazi Party paramilitary forces, so the people enforcing the law were loyal to him personally, not to the law itself.
One of his first moves, the “Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service,” kicked Jews, political opponents, and anyone he deemed “unreliable” out of government jobs.
This included judges, teachers, postal workers, and police officers were replaced with loyalists. The message was clear… not being in line with the Nazi regime and their genocidal values was not just unwelcome, it was illegal.
But it wasn’t just Nazi Germany, or some far-off authoritarian regime from the history books. No, no, in fact.. the same call came from inside our house.
It happened in America and from the 1950s through the 1970s, the FBI ran COINTELPRO. I will be honest, I did not even learn about this part of American history until this year. They don’t exactly teach you about this in social studies.
If you have not heard of it, COINTELPRO was a covert operation that spied on, infiltrated, and dismantled political movements the government labeled as threats. Civil rights leaders, antiwar organizers, and student activists were all targeted. FBI agents planted false information, created internal divisions, and worked to discredit leaders in the press.
Peaceful protest was painted as dangerous. Demanding change became something the state treated like an act of war.
So, as you can see, the pattern is always the same. They redefine political opposition as a security threat, strip away legal protections for those who speak out, and replace accountability with loyalty to those in power.
That’s the through-line from 1933 Germany to COINTELPRO and now, to a memo from Trump’s DHS talking about “resistance” in Los Angeles as a reason to use the military on American soil.

When the ‘Resistance’ Is You
The military has targeted Americans for protesting before. Look at Kent State in 1970, when National Guard troops opened fire on unarmed college students protesting the Vietnam War. In just 13 seconds, they fired 67 rounds into a crowd, killing four and wounding nine. The students were not armed. Some were hundreds of feet away from the soldiers. The message was clear: the state was willing to turn its guns on its own people.
That is the danger we face when military force is brought into our streets under the pretext of “security.” The difference between “crowd control” and a massacre can be one order, one moment of panic, or one leader who sees political advantage in violence.
Once soldiers are in position, the potential for abuse is not theoretical. History tells us it is inevitable.
This is why the leaked DHS memo should terrify you. It is not just about immigrants. It is about building a military-policing machine that can be turned on anyone the administration labels a “threat” or “resistance.”
Today that may be migrants. Tomorrow it could be you. All it takes is for dissent to be rebranded as danger.
But fear is what they are counting on.
They expect you to be afraid and to allow them to continue to abuse human rights. Please don’t be afraid, and even if you are fight back with your hands trembling. I am.
Fear keeps us silent while they disappear our neighbors. Fear keeps us frozen while they break the people who cannot fight back. We have to stand for those who have no one else. Think of the elderly, the sick, the disabled, and the children.
Like this little girl. In this video, you see her being held onto by an even smaller child, a confused and terrified toddler, sobbing so hard she can barely breathe. She is begging them not to take her dad. Then a woman hugs her. Tries to console her. But how do you console a child who has lost everything?
She tells them how mom died not long ago, and now the only parent she has left is being dragged away by masked men. She is wailing that she cannot lose him too. Begging.

This moment will not fade for her. It will etch itself into her developing mind, shaping how she sees safety, trust, and love for the rest of her life. Psychologists know that when children are torn from their parents, it disrupts their emotional and social development, leaving scars that can manifest as anxiety, depression, and difficulty forming healthy relationships.
A child’s sense of the world as a safe place shatters, replaced by the lesson that the people who are supposed to protect you can also take everything from you.
This is not just an arrest. It is a wound that will follow her into adulthood.
So, know that the expectation you’ll be so scared that you’ll comply in advance is very fuel they run on because fascists win when people are silent, cut off, and convinced they are powerless. We take that fuel away when we know the truth and refuse to bury it.
Knowledge is a weapon that exposes their lies. Solidarity is a weapon that denies them control. People united are a weapon that they cannot contain.
If we let this stand, L.A. will not be remembered as the dress rehearsal. It will be remembered as opening night. When we stand together, we make it clear that they do not get to rule in the shadows, and they cannot stop us all.

I'll say it again: the Marines who took part in the operation in Los Angeles brought shame to the Corps. They are commanded by the Uniform Code of Military Justice to follow LAWFUL orders, and to disregard or disobey UNLAWFUL orders. In this case they did not follow the UCMJ and have dishonored the tradition of the United States Marine Corps. No history that is written that attempts to excuse this behavior, this stain on the Corps, is to be believed.
The current occupant of the office of the Secretary of Defense is oblivious to his duty to the Constitution. His trial for crimes against humanity should be held in the Hague, along with his Commander in Chief.
