Inside the Center for Immigration Studies, the think tank that writes America's immigration policy, supplies the personnel to enforce it, and publishes papers to justify it.
I don't believe you are allowed to fly to the US within 1 month of delivery. if you have the funding to fly and stay until birth, 3 months I believe is the max standard tourist visa, then you can and some do. the bigger issue is crossing the border illegally while pregnant, this happens far too often.
I knew that there was not a high % of babies born in the US yearly due to "birth tourism". I mean ~26,000 of the 3,600,000 babies born per year is as stated by another comment a rounding error (0.00723). What I did not realize is that a portion of those are from Russia. Does Stephen Miller realize that? His family being from Russia he should research that point.
Great article and throughly researched. I do realize they are trying to turn this into a bigger issue then it is with their white supremacist rascist fascist nazi regime pushing a half truth as usual. All these rethuglikkkans do is lie, twist small bits of truth into a narrative to drive a wedge between Americans, and swear to their lies. May they all burn in hell!🔥👊🔥👊🌊🫂💙🌊🫂💙🌊🫂💙🌊🫂💙🌊🫂#VoteOutALLRethugliKKKans
Powerful direct connections. I’m sharing this. Who knows, just maybe someone will see how manipulated they are. Thank you for this article. Took me awhile to get to it but I knew how important it was.
The hypocrisy of these people is mind-boggling. Fetuses are sacred. Unless they are brown or black. Life is God- given and precious and must be protected at all costs. Until the child is born. Americans have inalienable rights. Unless they are immigrants. No one has the right to food, housing or eduction unless they a White Christians. And wealthy. With exceptions, like for Stephen Miller, a Jew.
I just want to point out two major flaws in these idiotic arguments about birthright citizenship. Why would anyone want to come to the United States to have a baby? First, more mothers and newborns die in child birth in the United States than in much of the developed world. Second, having a child in the United States would in all likelihood cost parents tens of thousands of dollars, when in most developed nations healthcare is either free or very low cost.
There is no “official” office that is currently qualified to prevent that designation from being in effect. If they deserve it, and they do, any two or more people can agree and it is then confirmed - especially when so supported by a plethora of evidence.
Goes along with being confirmed as the “lie, cheat, steal and deny the Constitution” party.
Thank you once again for not only connecting the dots but also making undeniably clear what is obvious if, as you say, if we are not too distracted by the daily craziness. There is so much history to this. There are people I know who pretend to and perhaps even convince themselves that they are have no problem with legal immigrants or people of color, but they also have no problem with the terrible cruelty, abuses and deaths inflicted under the current regime. I ‘m sad to say I’ve come to believe such people are simply, at their core, more hateful than loving and lack enough empathy to make them truly decent humans.
Check out their reasoning. They compare CDC data with data from a voluntary survey. The discrepancy? It must be women who came to the US just to give birth. Gee golly wizz, what else could possibly cause there to be a difference? This is absolute baffoonery.
Assume the 26k value was accurate. Millions of babies are born in the US. It's not even a rounding error

Im glad I was here for the comments. Good work y'all.
Thank you. This is an awesome piece.
You'd think with the name, *Chavez*, she'd have a little more introspection.

I remember stories from years ago about pregnant Chinese women coming to CA to give birth to American children.

Where is this child today???
The ghost of Charles Davenport is smiling.
The cruelty is the point. Stephen Miller has all but renounced his Judaism and joined the side of the Nazis. Despicable.
My idea of how the “Great Replacement Theory” should be implemented in the USA - let’s remove and REPLACE the Trump Regime! It will be GREAT!!!

Isn’t the entire Republican Party a designated hate group ?
I would so designate them, along with "subversive organization" & "terrorist organization".
If not, it should be.
Consider it done.

I regret using the CIS stat recently.
