The corruption and depravity of our politicians is beyond our comprehension.
They make no independent decisions and possess no real power.
Regardless of their party affiliation, they are almost without exception puppets.
There's a reason why virtually all politicians who make it to the top are corrupt, pedophiles, or otherwise utterly depraved. The ruling class deliberately ensures that only these types of people advance within the parties, because they are the easiest to control.
Anyone willing to face the truth will inevitably conclude that democracy has long been nothing more than an illusion.
The rivalry between politicians and parties, the supposedly free elections—it's all a treacherous production straight out of the ruling class's playbook.
This theater for the common people plays with our emotions; hope and confidence are always followed by a steep fall that leaves us shocked, frightened, and disturbed.
Hurt and traumatized, we yearn for a savior.
Hope returns; this time, everything will be, must be, different.
This drains our energy.
As long as we cannot break free from this spectacle, we remain trapped and distracted.

One of the threads Gore reveals is that Newt Gingrich became an Opus Dei member and as a result began driving a wedge into Congress. I read about Thiel and Yarvin, about a year and 1/2 ago, here on substack. Yep, at first I thought someone had written science fiction. For the past 18 months, it has been interesting that more and more of the interwoveness of our current world politics, finance, the elite class, higher education, theology, and just plain evangelicals exists. Nearly all of the seeming fantastical notions are being revealed true. My greatest wish is for all of them to be non effectual worldwide when most of this is over. The guillotine, the rack, electric chair, firing squad, gallows, ... et al would be my preference.
