It seems at this point the only advantage we have on our side are the numbers. There are so many more of us than the oligarchs and those in power. Time for us to come together and use that advantage and remember that together we can do what we cannot do alone.
Texas has one drop box for ballots per county. That tells you everything. The RepubliKKKans have nothing, absolutely nothing to offer. So cheating and sabotaging the elections is the game they play. That is how the pedo won in 2024. They act as if they can do anything (and they do) and nothing can stop them. The democrats really need to up their game.
As a Democrat white woman that lives in Ohio, I am angry that our voices are not being heard by our "representatives". Voting is a privilege and honor to be included in, whether you vote by mail in ballot or show up at polling location.

I have to confess, I don't understand American Elections because of their complexities.
One of the founding father's strategies to protect elections was to decentralize them across the states. And, this feature is written into the constitution. It forces anyone trying to corrupt them to collude with others. It cannot be changed without ratification of 2/3rds of the 50 states.
In Canada, we have a centralized agency called Elections Canada which runs our elections. And, that can be a single point of failure if somebody grabbed it to rig them - affecting all provinces at once.
So, what I can offer is while I see you guys stressing about Trump's moves - do appreciate that he can't reach ALL the states to collude with him at the same time. And, he hasn't.
Your system is making it difficult for him to do it, and you can see that from all the things he is trying to do:

One of the biggest hurdles was he had to overcome the federal Supreme Court enforcing the rights of each state to run the federal election within its boundaries, as prescribed by the Constitution.
So, the John Roberts Supreme Court ruled AGAINST the constitution in that regard.
Technically, each state is responsible to identify eligible voters. They run all elections in their jurisdiction and know who lives there.
The issue isn't whether voters are eligible or not. The issue Trump brought up is "how do we know you are who you say you are."
And, in terms of the constitution, this is a state responsibility to determine as an election administrative function. They can issue photograph identity cards that match their voter roles - for example.
But, essentially that is what voter cards and voter roles already are. They just haven't caught up to modern pictures, finger prints, or state issued identification cards.
