This article is eye opening - I always wondered how we lost so many specialties that thrive elsewhere: homeopathy, botanical medicine, osteopathy - it’s amazing chiropractic still exists (despite the AMA’s damndest).
What a wonderful piece. You brought me a little inspiration at a time when I've been feeling my advanced age a lot of late and have had to limit my activism. I love you Dissent.
Thank you so much for all the wonderful work you do - so young but so wise! I'm truly sorry to hear about the awful medical issues you are coping with. Sending warmest best wishes.
You must take care of yourself, pace yourself. Your voice is a lifeline for many of us who can’t do the kind of investigative journalism and exposure of the greed, depravity and sociopathy of our “leaders” that you do. Your voice is strong.
My daughter has EDS. She has chosen to become a teacher of small children, and pours herself into that work, loving those children with all the fierce love she feels she can never give to children of her own, out of fear of passing on the gene mutation that caused her EDS. Her work gives her energy, whole-heartedness, purpose. I see this also in your work and honor you deeply for it. Rest when you need to and be kind to yourself. Like my daughter, you are an inspiration.
Boy, do I completely understand about the medical conditions. I have the Trifecta, CRPS, Epilepsy, OA throughout my body and so much more... But like you, I'LL FIGHT UNTIL MY LAST BREATH ‼️💪🏼

Your patients appreciate every single thing that you do. You are so incredibly important! Continue to take good care of yourself too.

Suffering does seem to lead to empathy. It makes us more human. I too speak from personal experience.
I celebrate your words and your amazing spirit 🥰
