I support this guy, regardless of his intentions. He's exposing what needs to be exposed, and what's wrong with a janitor looking to make money from social media? I will happily support anyone who works in a service job like this, especially because he was set to work 12-hour days with NO days off. Employees in crappy service jobs are among the real heroes of America.

And 84 hour weeks, minimum, with no O/T for any hours worked over 40. I saw the Indeed job posting a few weeks ago so AMA about that. I don't support or not support him, but the pay - $23 per hour - is crap for having to live there, work damn near 100 hours, 7 days per week (no days off, ever) with no O/T, and do some typically very hard work, in unusually hot, humid, militarized conditions. The jobs are contracted out to a third party so no government benefits, either.

This is exactly what FEMA jobs are like. I did it for 3 years. Same RICO companies, too.

what's wrong with a janitor trying to make money from social media? Nothing.

What's wrong with a janitor trying to make money off of a place that is infamous for human rights abuse on social media? Everything.

I think we can't judge a person in this situation too harshly, especially if we're white. Someone exploiting a situation like this is based in survival, and also an unfortunate product of the culture we live in. Getting TikTok famous is a very common goal that's reinforced daily in pop culture, and this situation presented itself. It would take a very self aware, emotionally mature individual to realize the moral impropriety of this and restrain themselves from the lure of fame and money. Many have not been raised to have such a deep integrity of character that they would pass up this temptation. He is a product of a capitalistic, shallow and narcissistic culture where nobody makes enough money for working hard.

This is almost weird enough to actually believe it. Have him go before congress blow the whistle brother!

What are you having a hard time believing exactly? Almost weird enough? What does that mean? This is happening.

I noticed that DIB is embracing the Alligator Auschwitz nickname. That's what this is. American Auschwitz. A literal “detainment” aka concentration camp.

Do you think they gaf if any of these detainees die? Do you think we’ll even know? This guy just got fired for showing innocuous videos of his own - the employee’s - living conditions and they already don't look great.

People are going to die before it's actually exposed. There is no oversight, legal or otherwise. Who is going to prosecute any of these people if crimes are being committed? The DOJ? Local authorities who are already being told they have no jurisdiction?

This is happening. In America.

It won't be exposed legally. The companies responsible are protected by DHS

Oh I believe it AND BELIEVE ME it is flipping horrifying what is happening in this country. Yes it sucks. If we have a way out of this authoritarian system, everyone who participated in the horrors must be held accountable.

I don’t understand what the dude in the video is saying or even what he is trying to show other than trying to get attention for his tic toc or what ever.

Alligator Auschwitz is the better name for it then Alcatraz. Although the “living” conditions at Alcatraz can’t be much different. They’re building concentration camps not prisons.

They hire the dumbest, most self centered drunks, drug addicts, and felons that they can find.

I worked for FEMA contractors - they harass, frame, and fire anyone who has half a brain or who doesn't go along with their thefts and cruelties.

I saw a live of his where he claimed (at the time) that supervisors were threatening to fire anyone who gave the prisoners water or bathroom access.

They like to hire drunks, drug addicts, and felons.

I was hired for FEMA because they needed to fill a quota - when I wouldn't go along with their theft and embezzlement scheme - they set me up and had me fired
